If you have ever sailed on most other swing keel boats, you appreciate the convenience and safety of the clutch drive unit that is standard on you SJ21. Upon discovering that the gears were stripped on the driveshaft on my winch; I thought that a new unit would be required. Too much $$$ for my budget. A quick search of the 'net provided a phone number for the Dutton-Lainson Company, of Hastings, Neberaska. It's (402)462-4141. A call resulted in being served by a know- ledgable customer service representative who informed me of the proper part number and how to place an order with Grainger. So, the part is on order and VISA will only want about $20. Not bad to fix a boat problem.
