subject:Shroud Tension
There was a lot of discussion on this subject last year in The Jib Sheet and on this forum. The top racers all have differing theories on the amount of tension required in various wind conditions from tight enough to distort the shape of the hull to very loose. It basically boils down to: Use whatever tension is required to shape your particular sail plan to your existing conditions.
