When i bought the ragtop boat 1694 a few years ago, i vowed that i wouldn't make any adjustments for a while since i thought it was a pretty quick boat. First regatta at Kerr Lake on the NC-VA line was in April...blew like crazy the first day...and I believe that we had all top three finishes (which was quite suprising for me at that time) Second day was light and we were last last last!Called the former owner and he said, "oh yea, that was set up for heavy air in Sarasota...take 10-15 turns off each side...both shrouds.." we didi and haven't topuched them since...they still feel a bit tight to me but I believe that we have competitive boatspeed on most days.
