subject: Storage in the stern of SJ MK 1

I have a Mark I and find that there is quite a bit of area to the rear of the 1/4 berths, and that there is no easy way to use this area for storage. Has anyone tried to make this area usable. I was thinking on sealing the stern area at the foot of the berths with a fibreglass bulkhead and put in access hatches on the seats on both sides to be able to use this area for storage. Before I begin this as a 'Winter Works Project' I would appriciate any and all comments. Thanks Roger Sail #195
