subject:Keel repair & a big thank you
We are new San Juan owners and also new to the internet. After posting our message requesting help in repairing our keel, I began looking down through previous messages (cart before the horse??) and found all sorts of great advice. We will be hoisting the boat, removing the keel and using the plate bolted in to the stump. I am encouraged by all the good things I've heard about hoisting. It will be great to have the chance to do a good examination of the boat ('77 Mark II) which has been sitting for a couple of years. I am moving the boat from the car port into the patio since the patio has a real high roof and will make a great support (my wife is so excited about it!!). Thanks to all of you. This is a super site.
