Recently hoisted #2403 for the first time. With great advice and support from the San Juan community created a beam of three 2X6 glued and bolted, planed to the contours of the interior cabin roof, and heavily carpeted. The beam was positioned approximately six inches astern of the hatch opening. She lifted of the trailer like a dream floating in the air like a christmas ornament hanging from a tree. The deck of the boat supported the weight of the hull with no apparent stress. Thanks again to the SJ21 for their help! Coming from racing it's refreshing to find a community of competitive sailers that are friendly and enjoy supporting newcomers to the class.
