Obviously don't know what it is called but mine didn't have one either. My local supplier got me one which consisted of a 3/4"+/- wide by 4"+/- strip of metal, bent at about 4/5 the way from one end. It had two holes drilled in the long end which I used to screw the front of the rudder at the correct place so that it locks the rudder in against the upper pintel when rudder is inserted.#1733
