In repsonse to the guy who's tack fitting on the boom broke, no worries. The same thing happened to me after dropping the boom by accident. I simply got a short piece of 12 strand Amsteel (use whatever you have) and tied it to one of the mast cleats. I run it through the tack of the sail and down to the mast cleat on the other side of the mast. It's been working for a few years without any problem.Scott
