I just bought a San Juan 21. It's going to need some work. It's been sitting out in the weather for 4 years in ND. A friend who has had a San Juan told me my 6 cylinder two wheel drive Ford Ranger should be able to pull it out of the water. Anyone have experience that can reassure me that this is the case?

Also, boat is pretty dirty as you can imagine. Sails are in good shape, boat appears sound, with a couple soft spots to deal with but I'm planning on painting it next spring and will deal with those then. Any suggestions as to products to use to clean it up would be helpful.
