subject: Travellers and backstay tensioners

I saw photos of the traveller mod made to 'Naiad' on the site given by Tim Lynch Nov 28 posting, and was interested in the traveller and the backstay tensioner shown. I have neither on my SJ21( #195, 'Jennifer K' ) and have been looking at options.

Can someone tell me more details on the aluminum arch installed - what are the dimensions, and have you found this to be strong enough?

Also the backstay adjustment, is that a purchased device or home made? Can you tell me the rope size. block ratings , etc and have you found it to be adequate and work well? Presumably the stock deckplate is strong enough.
