My SJ was in the water for 8 months. I had painted 2 coats of a good quality hard antifoul the day before launching.

When hauled the bottom was in quite good condition. We drove to the nearest car wash and for 3 bucks cleaned it up completely.

I'd be hesitant to allow it to dry completely before power washing, the sooner the better. It'll save you a lot of time scrubbing and sanding later.
