Mast Base Plate.

You may have just moved the mast support a little. Good luck in finding it. May want to loosen up the support & try a pick or something to line it back up.

Now if the mast support is stripped ( which is realtively easy because it is aluminum and the machine screws are stainless) you may have a different problem.

I stripped out the one in the rear. What I did was use a hole saw and cut a 1.5" hole about 1" down from the top on the rear of the mast support. Then when I ran the machine screw through. I then put a lock washer & nut. Solved that problem but good. No,the mast support will not collapse. Or it has not in 20 years.

One thing I did do BEFORE I removed the machine screws, was to outline the mast support to the cabin top, with a dry marker. But it's a little late for that now.

Good luck.

Roy
