NC SJ21ers, have you received your letter appealing the SJ21

All SanJuan21 members of NC-PHRF are to get a copy from a member of NC-PHRF with much analyzed race data showing the rating is too high at 252. I am no mathmetician, and the data is hard to read, but some time and effort was placed into the letter. This letter is an appeal to the chair of NC-PHRF to lower the rating, and the data shows an average of 229 and a need for a change to 229. It looks to be based on race data on rivers of eastern NC only.

If someone who received the letter and knew how to read the data could post a reply as to the validity of it, that would be great. I wish it was in PDF.

This would seem very important to all those San Juan 21 owners who sail and race under PHRF all over the country. Several years ago they lowered the PHRF for SJ21's at our sailing club based on what I thought were non-objective reasons, i.e., San Juan's winning too many races. (They didn't 'say' this exactly, but it seemed obvious.) I'd like to gather PHRF ratings currently in use all over the country and publish these for use in responding to those wanting to raise our PHRF ratings at their locations. Please, let's have some good discussion of this issue, and develop some appropriate arguments.

If you don't know anyone who has Acrobat Pro needed to create a .pdf, try to have this letter scanned and email it to me; I'll post it for everyone to see. Or, snail-mail a copy to me.
