Keel Bolt

My keel bolt leaked too. Previous owner had put 3M 5200 on it and this held it for a while. My keel bolt actually started to thread its way out of the nut. I talked to Stephen Jensen about it and he said to tighten it back down to the best of my ability. I tightened it down, cleaned it all up, sandind/grinding/chipping, as little as possible, a final clean up with a tooth brush and acetone. Then put almost the entire container of epoxy on it. The one at the boat stores in the white box with blue letters, slips my mind the name of it. It's catch prase is "works like wood, hardens like steel". I put this on the nut side (stbd) and bolt head side (port). Actually had to go in later on the bolt nut side given I tightened the bolt so much it broke through the other side.
