I purchased an auto pilot about a year ago and have enjoyed sailing so much more. I was reminded yesterday of what a joy it can be to sit back and enjoy the sound of the water at the bow. Had a long broad reach with wing on wing and went up on the deck walked around checking everything. Sat down with the mast as a back rest and just day dreamed. Hardest job was not falling asleep. Earlier I spent time below decks bailing; mine is not a dry San Jaun. Mine is a raymarine (smallest size) I bought it at west marine. I first thought about it for rasing and lowering sails and wisker poles etc. but found it the best investment I've ever made.
Have you replaced your keel gasket recently? Find out why you're you're taking on water.
