Mast support for trailering

My mast transport support is a square tube with 2 welded on pins located to mount in the rudder mount straps. The pins have holes drilled in them for safety pins to keep them in place. The upper end of the tubing has a U shaped rest saddle, padded with carpeting. The tubing must be long enough to clear the cabin. The bow end is mounted on the trailer winch structure in the same manner. I securely strap the boom to the saddles with bungee cords, at least 2 on each end, just to be safe. All rigging stays in place with the exception of the forestay. I use small bungee cord straps to secure the rigging to the boom for transport.

Rod :)
