subject:RE: Trailer Tires and Kickup Rudder
I'm amazed to hear that it is actually feasible to use passenger car tires under our boats. I had wondered if there was any real issue with doing so. Is there any advantage to using passenger car tires other than the obvious cash savings? I can just picture myself on the side of the road, in the rain, wishing I had spent the extra $25 for a trailer tire. Also, does anyone have a diagram of how the kick up rudder is supposed to be configured/rigged. I could swear I saw one somewhere, but can't seem to find it anywhere on this site. My kickup rudder has no bungees attached to it.
