subject:hull flex or canning of the hull on trailer
I am considering a purchase of an sj 21 MKII #2181. I would like to have some feedback on wheter or not a canning hull may bounce back to original shape. The boat has been inproperly trailered on 2x4 that is 10 ft long. The minimum should be 12ft long 2x6 board supporting the hull. I beleive it has been sitting on the trailer for severall years and the aft or the rear section fo the 2x4 has caused a canning of the hull. the end of both 2x4 has dug into the hull about one inch deep creating a curve and a wave pattern towards the front of the boat to about 3 ft lenght. Both sides looks identical. My question is should I buy the boat or stay away from at at any price. Currently we negotiated $1800 for the boat that is otherwise looks nice.Thank you for yourhelp
