I received a cc: of an email from Ivar to our new SJ21 owner stationed in Japan. I emailed Ivar and asked if it would be ok if I posted part of his email to Eric. It's gratifying to me to see new sailing relationships formed as a result of information on this website. - Jim

"I saw your e-mail on the San Juan 21 web page... two things caught my eye... Port Orchard and Misawa, and had to contact you...
"I own a San Juan 21 (my 3rd one) and live in Bremerton, next to Port Orchard, and keep my boat in the Brownsville Marina. My boat is a fixed keel version (there are three in the marina) and there are several swing keel versions around Kitsap County, also. The attached photos were taken on or about Sept 1, 2006 in Bremerton or Port Orchard at Dockside Marine (where the bottom was just done).
"Also re: Misawa: My Son-in-Law is stationed at Misawa right now (been there for a couple of years). My daughter and their three kids are there also.
"Since I am so close, if I can help in any way, or you would like to check out a couple of 'juans... please let me know. After all a picture may be worth a thousand words, but seeing something in the flesh is probably worth a thousand pictures. I'd be glad to help. Also, I am always looking for someone who wants to go sailing.
