Carlos, you're wondering whether to leave your keel up or down when the boat is in a slip. It's the same as when trailering: keep it down.However, I'm assuming you're asking about the keel being left to rest on the stop pin, as opposed to the stop pin being removed and the keel left to hang in its fully extended position. This I say because you also asked if the keel should rest on the stop pin (as opposed to what? Cranked up? Fully extended?).
And that's an interesting question, one to which I haven't an answer: Is the keel better off resting on the stop pin or extended beyond the stop pin, fully down?
Anyone have an opinion of this?
