subject:Opportunity Knocks
Hey all,I know the Bottom Line has been mostly incommunicado for over a year. However, my daughter and I would like to invite you all to the Western Carolina Sailing Club Hospice Regatta October 19-21, 2007. It is a good regatta, with a great party for an outstanding cause. The regatta has contributed over six figures in actual cash to Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson, South Carolina.
With five boats we will have our own OD class on the Championship Course with the overall PHRF scored winner of this course going on to the National Hospice Regatta Championship in Annapolis. Our regatta representative has won the National Championship three times out of seven years.
Tricky Dick Dommel and I plan to sail All-Sails at this point but would possibly entertain jib and spinnaker. The other option is for us all just to sail in PHRF B and use whatever configuration desired.
As those of you who have been to WCSC know, we have fabulous camping and October is a great time to camp. We are easy to reach, just off Interstate 85 at South Carolina Exit Number 14.
Let me know what we can do to entice you to come on down.
