Chris, not sure what you're calling a mast crane (that's the halyard pulley mechanism that extends aft on some mast heads).

As for raising the mast solo, I use the system Stephen Jensen rigged which is both a mast raising line and jib downhaul. Both functions are a snap (thank you Stephen!).
