Anyone know the whereabouts of the GREAT PUMPKIN, #377 ???

A gal named Susan from Westlake Village, CA contacted me today, feeling nostalgic and wondering if their SJ21 (GREAT PUMPKIN, #377) is still afloat. She said they traded their San Juan for a Seafarer 30 way back in 1980! (They now sail a J-32.)

Anyone have any knowledge of their former boat? Let us know.

Jim

(San Juan 21's certainly 'are' the kind of boat we all might get nostalgic about at some time after they've gone on to other owners!)

More:

"Jim:
For the record, we bought the SJ 21 in 1972 when we lived in MD and picked it up at the factory in New Bern, NC. Then we moved to NJ and on to Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, where we lived when we traded her for the Seafarer. Therefore, she might still be in the midwest. She was orange; thus the name. The J-32 is a sweet sailing boat."
