Outboards



I have found that the 3.5 hp will still push the boat forward even going into 30 knot winds. It's only going 3 or 4 knots but it's not going on the rocks.

Even big ouboards will only push the boat to 5.5-6.0 knots water speed. If you face currents, a bigger motor won't make a difference. If you face heavy winds it might help, but I gota ask why you are going out in 30+ knot winds?
