subject:Bill McClure wins Outback Cup Non-spin division
This weekend there were 103 entrants at the annual Outback Cup Regatta held at the Columbia Sailing Club located on Lake Murray just west of Columbia, South Caroline.Charlottesville, VA Bill McClure and crew "rat sharpshooter" Randy Eakes gave the local Juaners in their non-spinnaker division a lesson in light air sailing.
Zoe and Dick Dommel came in second in the 11 boat Spin PHRF division finishing behind a Viper 640 and just ahead of an Olsen 30.
Mark your calendar for the 3rd weekend in October for next year. The Outback Cup Regatta is a fun event with great food. Friday night was catered by Carrabba's Italian Grill serving shrimp, mussels and mushroom smoothered chicken followed with a delicious cannoli desert. Sat. night is the famous Outback steak dinner with cheesecake for desert. Sunday after racing the CSC Ladies served their famous hamburgers that puts Wendy's to shame.
