subject:Water in the V-Birth compartment
Water in the V-Birth compartment may be coming from the Keel Cable sheave. If you are in large seas the pounding can pump water out of that area especially if you have a bad keel gasket. If you had that much water in the boat, I doubt you have a leak in the hull as it would go back out when on the trailer so I think it accumulated over time. Have someone stay inside the cabin and look at this area while your are sailing. If you have a hole in the hull somewhere, another idea you can do is to clean the area and spray the K2R carpet cleaner. It is talcum powder and a solvent. You are basically dusting the area. When you launch, you will be able to see where the water is coming from as the dust will wet.
