In the V berth area under there is a round threaded cover (commonly called an access plate) You probably see the two fiberglass 'stringers' that are part of the hull structure...are they only half round (about the diameter of a paper towel tube) and glassed to the hull? If so, then they are supposed tio ber tthere.
Your storage comparment in the stern (commonly called a lazarette) The positive and negative cables tell me that is where someone put the battery, and many Mark II boats had the battery there. You want a fairly light battery - depends on what you are going to do.....I used a motorcycle battery for years until I switched to two 6 v lantern batteries in series.... a very light solution
Do you really want an anchor light on the top of the mast? There are many other ways to be safe....I have used a 6 v lantern hung 3 ft off the foredeck, but now I have a powerboat 360 whitle light on a 3 ft pole that plugs in a socket where the stern light used to be. It works well
