subject:Combined Starts
I like the idea of trying to do a combined start with everyone. Having big starts really makes it more fun. I do agree though that the white sail boats may get gassed really badly by the spinnaker boats on the downwind. This would probably mess up the fairness of the fleet racing somewhat. A good compromise may be to do a mass start but then give the while sail boats a shorter mark to sail around. That would keep everyone together at the start but separate them for downwind sailing.
