subject:Glassed in bolts
I cut a hole in the inner liner at the bolts. You are right mine had a layer of glass over them and the nuts were turning inside the glass so no way to take the bolts out. I used a dremel to grind out the covering glass and installed new bolts and nuts. I covered the hole with a piece of 1/8" ply (model airplane shops have small peices of 1/8 ply available)which I first applied 2 coats of epoxie on for waterproofing. I used silicon sealant around the edges of the ply and several small screws to secure it to the stern liner- it looks like an access hatch now.
