Here are a couple of pics. I had to take off the mounting flange and reverse it, otherwise the angle of the rungs would be wrong and they would cut into your feet. (The ladder was made for the flanges to be mounted flat against the transom. By mounting them on TOP of the transom you have to flip them around. If you get this ladder you'll see what I mean.)

I bolted them to the TOP of the transom. I put these mahogany blocks on the ladder uprights so it can rest against the flat of the transom. You could also drill and attach these support blocks as well, but I left them free so the ladder can flip up and over for trailering (not that that is totally necessary...) Basically you've now got four contact points of support.
