My dad used to say,"If it ain't one thing, it's two things!" One outing after tagging bottom, and snapping off my rudder, my 5HP Nissan began to act up, running only (at all) if I managed the choke. It's then, and only then, that I noticed there was no fuel filter in the system. Installation of a cheap inline fuel filter, three years later, the beautiful single cylinder outboard starts and runs great, but I did have to remove the **%^)#$** that accumulated in the main jet.
