Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has cut holes into, and added recessed lids to the quarter berths to have them double as storage cabinets for (light) gear? Any reason not to do this?

I've heard the san juan will sink if it flips and floods, anyway, so the air pockets don't do much good. I suppose another option would be to add foam to the air pockets if they were opened up...
