Stepping the mast singlehanded

On Charmed Juan, I have a Jib downhaul line that acts as a temporary forestay as well. I get the mast pinned and then lift the mast up on my shoulder. I then raise it up some more and grab the jib downhaul line and as I push the mast forward, I pull the downhaul line and cleat it. When the mast is nearly vertical, I stop pushing on the mast and pull the downhaul line tight. I then walk forward and pin the forestay. Once pinned I then walk back and release the downhaul line and tension the backstay.

You can see my set-up on our website at http://www.sj21fleet1.org/?Rigging_Ideas%26nbsp%3B:Single-handed_setup
