subject:From Bleach to Automotive "Clear" coat spray
Hi all:
In order to remove the black spots on my oak brightwork, I have abandonned the bleach idea and don't want to use Oxcalic acid. Instead, I went to stripping and sanding. Results are imperessive. The traces of grey and black that are left give the oak (not teak) caracter.
With smooth bare wood, I probably won't use any stain and go directly to the sprayed automotive "Clear" coat approach.
Have some of you tried this finish? May we have reports of other success stories using the Sprayed automotive "Clear" coat approach on brightwork?
Which brands have you had success with?
Any suggestions on how to improve this approach? Thanks again for your input.
Wil
