In September 2005 I did reaffirm the previous Measurer's ruling that a Jib Cunningham is NOT ALLOWED.

The class rules and specs stipulate that tensioning of the jib cloth is not allowed. Furthermore, jib tensioning devices that act on the tack of the jib are illegal....all tensioning devices must act on the head / halyard only.
