Cruising Mast Rake



Bill, I'm not sure there is an 'ideal' cruising mast rake. Basically, if you are pointing you want your mast raked a bit farther back and if you are going downwind you want it a bit more upright. If you want a good "average" location, then I'd probably used around 6-8" of rake. If you want to be faster upwind use more rake and if you want to be faster downwind use less.
