As regards the Class Rules, the 1999 edition has the answers to all your questions. The class sails are all specified by maximum measurements, the 3.5 oz cloth weight is a minimum and woven polyester - dacron - is the only permitted cloth choice for main, jib and genoa. No laminates, no exotics. The class jib sheets to the cabin top, the genoa sheets to the coaming.
