subject:A new (hopefully) metal keel gasket fairing question...
No, this is not another question about class legality or fairing the fairing, or old aluminum strips -Is it still possible to beach your boat on a sandy beach with the fairing in place? I'm getting set to install one and it really doesn't look like it would be a good idea to drag it through the sand, let alone back it up and scoop out a trench with it.
I'm not really sure I want to give up the capability to beach the boat for a picnic in order to move up to next-to-last, maybe, in a race.
Anybody had any experiences with this situation?
