subject:National Association, Class Handbook, Constitution and By-La
Hi Doug,
I'm just wondering why our handbook is so secretive? Why do you have to be a national member to be privy to our class rules. It seems as though every other active fleet out there has their class by-laws available on-line. If I were researching a boat to buy and wanted to see how the class was set up, it would be helpful to know all I could about the boat and it's association. Since we are continually trying to keep our fleets active, it only seems right that the more information we can give people about our boats, the more people we can attract to them. Once they're hooked they will be more than willing to support the association and send in their dues.Just a thought.
That said, don't even think of asking what "Wooglin" has to do the University of Washington, Beta Theta Pi and Hell week. So far I've only been able to give the secret handshake to one other SJ21 sailor.
