subject: Shroud and Backstay wire rating

I want to try and make the backstay into a split rig system and I notice that two strands in one of the shrouds are broken, so it seems prudent to replace that.

What is the wire rating I should look for for replacement ?

They seem to be 1/8" but I don't know about whether 1x19 or 7x19 should be used.
