Just wanted to say thanks again to all the boats in a galaxy, er lake, far far away, who made the long trek over for the race from eastern Wa, and Idaho. It was a blast having all those SJ21's together, and will be great to have you all back for the Western's at Brownsville. Saturday's "racing" was tough, but it was fun to have everyone out there in those .2 knot winds we had:)
Fleet 1 sailed across the sound for our last Spring Series race of the season on May 30th and had a blast. We had 3 boats drive up from the south end of puget sound and 9 boats launched from Golden Gardens and sailed across the sound. We had 12 boats which I think ties our most for a race in a long time.
It was the first time i've personally been to brownsville but the Marina is in a really nice locale. Sheltered from the weather/wakes, and the marina staff was really nice and friendly. 4 fleet 1 members stayed overnight and hung out to have a nice BBQ, and just relax and enjoy the weekend. This should be some really great racing that weekend.
