Ethanol

To get more informed on ethanol from corn, I suggest searching, "ethanol processed from corn."

From what I can read, we are using 1.5 gallons of ~120,000 BTU oil to make 1.0 gallon of ~80,000 BTU ethanol from corn. In order to make ethanol competitive I have read you and me are subsidizing it at the rate of 50 cents a gallon. I hope I am misinformed about this fuel additive that is messing up our marine fuel systems.

Our club is now able to stock ethanol free gas and our RC motor problems have gone away.
