"Howard Waits received the Katherine Merrill Graydon Alumni Service Award. Waits, a 1960 graduate, is being recognized for his long-term commitment of outstanding service to the University and his affirmative service in perpetuating the University as a great educational and cultural institution. He is retired from Merrill Lynch & Company and currently resides in Oakland California. Waits is a former Alumni Board member and is currently serving on the Ovid Butler Society Executive Committee."
